There have never been a premium hatchback that can be considered as successful in North America. Both BMW and Mercedes have failed with their 3-Series Compact and C-Coupe. Its time for their arch-rival Audi to bring in their offering in this segment. The A3 Sportback. Unlike the 3-Series and C-Class, Sportback is a 5-door mini-wagon style instead of a 3-door. The interior doesn’t have the cost-cutting feel of both BMW and Mercedes. On the other hand, Audi developed the Sportback at the same time as its 3-door silibing instead of just chopping the back off a coupe to create a hatchback. We will looked at how this A3 performs in the long haul in the future update. As well as finding out whether it will be a successful product for Audi in the long-term.
